Create an application
Chapter 2 of 7
Start with an idea and let Rumata prepare your workspace.
Start with a prompt
Describe the application you want to create in your own words.
On Home (opens in a new tab), select the large prompt box. The Send arrow beside it submits the prompt.
Explain who the app is for, the main task they should accomplish, and the essential features for a first version. Press Shift + Return to add another line.
Optional wording you can adapt:
Build an app for [audience] to [main task]. Start with [essential features]. It should [important behavior or constraints]. Plan the first version before building it and ask about anything unclear.Learn more: Home prompt controls
Your project is selected automatically
Every factory is created within a project. Rumata selects the project automatically for you.

Keep the first request in Plan mode
Review Rumata’s approach before building begins.
On Home, find the Plan or Build toggle beside Select project. Selecting it changes the mode directly.
Keep Plan selected for your first application. If the toggle shows Build, select it to switch to Plan.

Add useful context
Include the details that matter to your application.
Add your requirements to the Home (opens in a new tab) prompt. You can attach files to this first prompt too, such as a specification, reference image, or supporting document.
Describe your requirements and attach any files you want Rumata to use as context before sending your first prompt.

Create the factory and submit your prompt
Check your prompt and selected project before sending.
Use the Send arrow to submit your prompt. It becomes available once the required input is complete and Rumata is ready.
- Check the project, Plan mode, and prompt text.
- Select Send once and wait for the factory workspace to open.
- Check the conversation for your submitted message; typing text without sending it does not start a build.
